The Colorado Film Festival Support and Promotion Grant financially supports over 40 film festivals, especially in rural areas, to promote economic activity by attracting visitors. Eligible festivals must occur in Colorado, and new applicants must submit an interest form before applying. The grant offers varying amounts based on available funding, and funds are distributed before the festival begins. Festivals must meet sponsorship conditions outlined in their application. For more information, visit OEDIT’s grant page.
How To Apply
If you have not received sponsorship in the past, you will need to submit an interest form before applying to the program. We will review your submitted interest form and notify you if you are invited to apply. This application has a rolling deadline, meaning we will review applications as we receive them.
At least three months before your film festival, submit the Film Festival Support and Promotion Grant Interest Form. As a part of the interest form, you will need to include:
- festival description – such as a one-pager or a previous film festival guide
- sponsorship tiers for the upcoming festival
If you are selected to apply, you will be contacted. They will then ask you to provide additional information about the film festival.
